Update on the Hamble Airfield Statutory Review

Hamble Parish Council has agreed to seek permission to appeal following the High Court’s decision to refuse our challenge to the proposed Cemex quarry at Hamble Airfield.
At an extraordinary meeting held last night, councillors considered the High Court ruling and agreed that the Parish Council should continue with the legal process.
Our legal team will now apply for a 14-day extension to allow time to prepare and submit the written case seeking permission to appeal.
We would like to thank members of the Hamble Peninsular Residents Group and MP Paul Holmes, who attended the meeting and spoke in support of continuing the legal process. We are also grateful to Cllr Keith House, who has offered his support by email.
The full High Court judgment can be viewed here.
Hamble Parish Council will continue to keep residents informed and will provide further updates as soon as there is more information to share.
