Response to Cemex’s Press Statement

Cemex ran a pre-application online consultation in November 2021, but since then has made no attempt to engage meaningfully with Hamble residents.  Furthermore, there is no evidence that Cemex has incorporated any of the feedback received from the online consultation in the planning application that was subsequently submitted.

Hamble Peninsula Art Trail

Hamble Peninsula Art Trail

Work has started on a new trail that will take visitors on a tour of the unique history, character, and ecology of the Hamble Peninsula, incorporating the parishes of Bursledon, Hamble-le-Rice and Hound.

New Benches at the Foreshore

This week the Council took back another part of the Foreshore that has been renovated by the appointed contractors TM Construction.

This area is at the start of the Dinghy Park adjacent to the beach café. Three of the old concrete seats and the concrete plinths they stood on have been removed.

This was then squared off and three new bench seats, in keeping with the others, were installed on the Foreshore.

These seats are fully accessible for both wheelchairs and buggies, with reserved areas for both.

We hope you enjoy making use of the new benches.
