Hound Basics Food Bank

Hound Basics Food Bank is a Church-led, Community focused project set up to help those in short term need, providing food and essential items to those living in the Netley Abbey, Hamble & Bursledon areas. Hound Basics is sponsored by Netley Christian Fellowship.

How Do I Get Food Help?

You can be referred through various agencies such as Social Services, Schools, Citizens Advice, Doctors’ Surgeries, Churches or Eastleigh Borough Council who have a Food Bank helpline on 02380 688000.

How Do I Donate Food?

You can drop off food at the following donation points:

Hamble:

St Andrew’s Church Porch, High Street, Hamble - between 9am-5pm

Netley:

Netley Co-Op - 18-20 Station Road
Netley Post Office
Netley Sports & Social Club
30 Queens View
5 Sellwood Road
Grange Cottage, 2 Grange Road

Bursledon:

Bursledon Vicarage, School Road
Pilands Wood Community Centre

If you would like to donate but cannot get to the drop-off points, please contact Hamble Parish Council: office@hamblepc.org.uk

Items Required:

UHT Milk, Tinned meat meals, Tinned Spaghetti, Tinned potatoes/mash, Sugar (small bags), Coffee, Desserts - sponge puds/jellies etc., Custard, Soft drinks, Cereal Bars, Crisps, Savoury Crackers, Toothbrushes, Toilet Roll, Dog food, Cat food, Toiletries - soap, shower gel, deodorant, shampoos.

Jobs Club:

Hound Basics Food Bank will be operating a Jobs Club again in the future which has seen great success with people getting back into employment.
