Street Parties

Why not celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend by organising a good old fashioned street party with you neighbours, or participating in The Big Jubilee Lunch.

The Big Jubilee Lunch will be taking place on Sunday 5 June to coincide with the Platinum Jubilee, and is the perfect opportunity for communities to celebrate this historic event together.

What Events are Planned for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee?

The celebrations begin on Thursday 2 June with the Trooping of the Colour, followed by an RAF fly-past observed by members of the Royal family from the balcony of Buckingham Palace televised on the BBC. There will also be 1,500 beacons lit across the UK and cities of the Commonwealth.

Friday 3 June sees St Paul’s Cathedral hold a Service of Thanksgiving that will be broadcast at 9:15am on BBC One.

Saturday 4 June starts with the Derby at Epson Downs racecourse where members of the Royal Family are expected to be in attendance and the day finishes with the Platinum Party at the Palace, a live concert held in front of Buckingham Palace live on BBC One and BBC iplayer.
