Hamble Parish Council Celebrates Local Community Champions at Annual Community Awards
We would like to thank everyone who attended this year’s Community Awards and Annual Parish Assembly last Wednesday.
The evening brought residents, local groups, charities and community organisations together to recognise the people who give their time, energy and commitment to supporting life in Hamble. It was a positive and uplifting event, celebrating the many individuals and groups who help make the village such a welcoming and active community.
Celebrating Hamble’s Community Spirit
The Annual Community Awards provide an opportunity to recognise those who go above and beyond for others. From volunteering and fundraising to supporting local initiatives, building community connections and helping residents, the awards shine a light on the dedication that often happens quietly in the background.
This year’s event was a wonderful reminder of the strength of community spirit in Hamble. Every nominee represented generosity, commitment and care for the village, and the Parish Council was delighted to celebrate their contribution.
Congratulations to This Year’s Winners
Hamble Parish Council is pleased to congratulate this year’s Community Awards winners:
- Individual Winner: Emma Westmacott, who dedicated her award to the Hamble Peninsular Residents’ Group (HPRG)
- Group Winner: Mercury Hub
- Young Persons Winner: Liam Taylor and Year 11
Each winner was recognised for the positive difference they have made within the community, and their awards reflect the appreciation felt by residents and the Parish Council alike.
Recognising This Year’s Nominees
The Parish Council would also like to recognise and thank all of this year’s nominees.
- Individual Nominees: Georgie Hand, Maureen Thomas and Peter Hyde
- Group Nominees: Hamble Players and Hamble Lifeboat
Being nominated for a Community Award is a meaningful achievement in itself. Each nominee has contributed to the life of Hamble in their own way, and their efforts help strengthen the sense of connection, support and pride within the village.
Thank You to Local Stallholders and Attendees
A special thank you also goes to the community stallholders who joined the event and shared information about local charities, groups and organisations. Their presence helped showcase the wide range of support, activity and opportunity available locally.
We’re grateful to everyone who came along, took part and helped make the evening such a success. Events like this are only possible because of the people who attend, contribute and continue to support community life in Hamble.
A Community to Be Proud Of
This year’s Community Awards were a fitting celebration of the people and groups who make Hamble such a special place. From the winners and nominees, to the stallholders, residents and volunteers, the evening reflected the kindness, commitment and community pride that sit at the heart of the village.
We would like to offer its warmest congratulations once again to all winners and nominees, and its sincere thanks to everyone who helped make the evening memorable.
