Hamble Airfield Application: Latest Update

** 𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗛𝗣𝗖) 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗖𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘅) – 𝟭𝟬 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 **

𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘅 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – 𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲:

Back in August 2023, Hampshire County Council (HCC) asked Cemex to clarify several areas relating to their Hamble Airfield planning application under planning ‘Regulation 25’. These areas included: soils, ecology, restoration, air quality, and flooding. Now that this information has been received from Cemex, we are being given the chance to review and respond. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸?

Cemex has now provided answers to the environmental questions from HCC’s Planning Authority. HCC has published all of Cemex’s new and revised ‘technical’ documents on their HCC planning portal (dated November 2023).

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁?

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟬 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟱 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯. During this time, statutory consultees (like HPC and Natural England) and the local community have another opportunity to provide feedback on Cemex’s latest submissions and these specific issues.

🔹 Currently, Hamble Parish Council (HPC) is working with our consultants to review the new documents, cross-referencing back to the original information so that we can provide a summary of the key points to guide you.

🔹 Hamble Peninsular Residents Group (HPRG) and their specialists are completing a similar exercise. We continue to liaise with the HPRG team closely to ensure best use of our combined resources.

Residents are very welcome to attend the Full Council Meeting on Monday 13 November 2023 (7pm at Roy Underdown Pavilion) where will be discussing Cemex’s latest response and our consultants’ initial feedback.
