More Improvements at the Foreshore
If you’ve visited the Foreshore in the last week or so, you may have noticed a series of new waste control and prevention measures that have been introduced to help improve cleanliness and the general environment.
Firstly, a number of new waste bins, dog poop bins, and waste stations have been installed, including a dolphin bin outside of the cafe to encourage younger children to dispose of their rubbish correctly.
A waste bin bag station has also been installed on the Southern Foreshore to assist in the collection and disposal of waste, and the bags provided are fully biodegradable with a lifespan of just 10 to 12 weeks.
We’ve increased the number of rubbish bins at Mount Pleasant, and have installed dog poop stations both here and on the Green, as you come up the hill from the Foreshore. Both dog poop stations provide bags for dog owners to use.
Finally, all of the life ring stations have been upgraded at the Foreshore, and have been made more accessible for younger people in an emergency.
