The student eco-committee at Hamble Primary School, in collaboration with Sustrans South and Eastleigh Borough Council, is working on a clean air project, raising awareness about air quality, active travel and anti-idling.

Did you know that one car idling for 1 minute produces 150 baluns of toxic gas?

On the Thursday drop-off and Friday pick-up at Hamble Primary School (7/8 March), there will be two Sustrans officers engaging with drivers in the car park, discussing the importance of no idling. The signage that you see has been produced by the students in the course of this project.
