3G Pitch Community Engagement Survey
Have Your Say: New 3G Pitch for Hamble
Hamble is being considered as a location for a new 3G artificial pitch, and we want to hear your views.
The project is still in its early stages, but your feedback will help guide where the discussion goes next. In particular, we’d like to know which of two potential locations you would prefer:
- Mount Pleasant Recreation Ground
- Hamble Club Football Club
Why a 3G pitch?
Modern 3G pitches can be used year-round whatever the weather. Unlike grass pitches, they don’t get waterlogged or need rest periods to recover. A new pitch would give Hamble a high-quality facility for local football clubs, women’s and girls’ football, walking football, school sessions, disability-inclusive sport and other community activities.
Who we’re working with
We’re partnering with Eastleigh Borough Council (EBC) and the Football Foundation, who support grass-roots football facilities across the country. If the project goes ahead, it would be funded by the Football Foundation and EBC — so there would be no cost to Hamble residents or the Parish Council.
