We trust you are all enjoying this lovely sunshine – hopefully the start of a long, warm summer!

You may have noticed that our Hamble Airfield updates have been less frequent in recent weeks. This is because no further evidence or updates have been published, and we are still awaiting the date of Hampshire County Council's Regulatory Committee (RC) meeting at which the future of Hamble Airfield will be decided. We hope you enjoyed the ‘news break’!

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸?

• As we get closer to a possible date for the RC meeting, we met again with representatives of Hamble Peninsular Residents’ Group (HPRG). We had productive discussions on how best to represent the views of the local community at the Regulatory Committee meeting. Our joint HPC & HPRG working group is now accelerating preparations for the RC deputations, to ensure that the arguments we present against the quarry are as strong as possible.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁?

• As soon as we have an update on the RC meeting, we will post it here, on the HPC notice boards and on our website. Look out too for updates from HPRG members on the Hamble Against Development Facebook group.
