Hamble Fire station needs you!
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is currently looking for on-call (retained) firefighters so if you live close to the station you could become part of their team.
An on-call firefighter could be called out two or three times a week, for a few hours at a time. On-call hours are based around people’s availability and other commitments.

🔶 We now have 1 week to send any further objections to Hampshire County Council (HCC) before this consultation ends on 15 December 2023. 🔶
🔹 Our team at Hamble Parish Council is finalising our response and further objections for the 15 December 2023 deadline.
🔹 We have arranged for Steve Tilbury, our planning consultant, to join the Full Parish Council meeting on Monday 11 December 2023 to share his latest insights.
🔹 To help you: 𝘄𝗲’𝘃𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 ‘𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀’ 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻’ which explains Cemex’s proposals. Page 2 gives you questions and ideas to help you draft a personalised response. You can view the Residents' Guide here: bit.ly/475PHAd

Even if you have written to HCC before, you can still submit another objection.
🔹 Just focus on a different way that the quarry will affect you, your family, your work, your education, your life.
🔹 You can submit more than 1 objection for each household - ask your husband/wife/partner/children to also send in their comments.
🔹 Every voice matters.
Your response will have the greatest impact when you talk about your lived experience (see questions in the Residents’ guide). Share examples of how this quarry will affect:
🔹 you and your family in the years to come
🔹 your children’s education or safe recreation
🔹 your physical and/or mental health
🔹 how you enjoy your home and garden, commute OR work from home
🔹 your travel: when driving, when walking or cycling, when travelling by public transport
Send your response to:
🔹 Online: planning.hants.gov.uk/Planning/Display/HCC/2021/0787
🔹 Email: planning@hants.gov.uk
🔹 Write to: Hampshire County Council - Strategic Planning, Economy, Transport & Environment Department, Elizabeth II Court West, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD.
🔹 Quote Ref: HCC/2021/0787 – including your name and address
